Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about our Longview custom fit towing mirrors on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This is gonna be a great option for you if you want to help haul anything in more of a safe fashion. So let's check it out. So what I'm gonna do first is just show you how to put 'em on because they are really quick and easy to do. All I gotta do is line up this interior of the towing mirror with our mirror and it'll have an LH to let you know for the driver's side and an RH for the passenger side. We're just gonna slide this so it fits around the contours of our mirror until it feels pretty snug. more

So these are gonna be a custom fit, so gonna fit specifically on our Silverado. Something I'd like to note is gonna have these little felt pieces inside. They're gonna be a little thick too, so they're gonna help kind of protect the back of the mirror. more

Hi. Matt with etrailer, and I'm gonna let you guys know what I think of the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors on the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I'd recommend a towing mirror, especially a custom fit one, for anyone who's hauling anything that's longer, like a trailer, maybe a boat, or a camper. Having a custom fit one too is gonna really fit onto your mirrors a lot easier than the universal ones, and they're gonna look a lot nicer too. And installing them is pretty easy too. Hey everybody! How's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the CIPA Custom-Fit Towing Mirrors, here on our 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500. So a lot of questions we get about these towing mirrors here is that they're worried about restricting some features that maybe on the vehicle such as the fold in or breakaway feature. We're not going to have any issues with that. As you can see here we can still fold our mirrors completely in without contact in the vehicle. So now we're going to give you guys a little bit of a better visual as to what you're going to be seeing when you're in the cab of your truck. It's not a big deal, but if we need to change lanes or possibly get over, make a big turn, we'd like to see what's over there before we start moving. These are made to fit the housing of our '19 Silverado side mirrors. This is just going to give us some more visibility while we're towing our big campers or any other trailer we might have. Because we don't have any factory towing mirrors, this is a nice option to make sure they don't have any blind spots when we're wanting to change lanes or even when we want to back up.As you can see, it just slides right over our side mirror of our Silverado. more

Connor: Hey guys, Connor here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors for our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. Our CIPA Towing Mirrors here are going to be an excellent option for our Chevrolet Silverado. Now our factory mirrors are a little bit on the smaller side, so they're not going to be ideal for some of the larger trailers and it's going to make driving down the road a little more stressful. However, these CIPA Towing Mirrors are going to solve that problem because they're going to extend our field of view outward, and we're going to get a better view of our trailer so we can have a safer travel.And just to give you a better idea now about the visibility of these tow mirrors, you can see myself standing in the factory tow mirror here. However, if I was to move outward away from the trailer, we would then disappear from the factory mirror but since we have our CIPA Towing Mirrors we would then see our view over here and this is going to help us when we're changing lanes or cars are coming up on our blind spot.So what I really like about these CIPA Towing Mirrors are they're not going to interfere with any of our factory functions. more

But if I slowly walk over closer to our trailer, I'll become visible in our factory mirror and not in our towing mirror, and that's going to really help eliminate those blind spots too. Now, one of the main things that separates this towing mirror from many of the others is that it's going to have two lenses, which then enables us to have maximum adjustability and allow you to see whatever you need to.One of the main questions we get asked about in regards to universal fit towing mirrors is if they're going to rattle or vibrate at high speeds, and to be honest with you, the way this one fits really tight against our factory mirror, I don't really see it being much of a problem, at least not bad enough to bother you.With the towing mirror in place, we're still going to have quite a bit of adjustability of our factory mirror. more

This is going to extend your view and widen your view that your factory mirrors may not show you. Not only is this going to show you everything that you may be hauling, it's also going to widen your view, giving you a lot of peace of mind when you're going down the road.This is going to add one additional mirror to your factory mirror, and it will be able to rotate 360 degrees and also tilt right and left and up and down, to accommodate for whatever you may be hauling. It is a telescopic set up to basically be able to extend and contract your mirror to, again, accommodate for whatever you may be hauling.With this particular universal towing mirror, you do have a clamp-on setup instead of the straps. more

It's available in a quantity of one, with part number 7070, you can also pick it up as a pair with part number 7070-2. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safety and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even backup while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. If I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see there's no blind spot by the way we have it setup. more

Now if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see there's no blind spot, by the way we have it set up, but right here's the view you get with just your factory mirror.The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees, so if you want to turn it to that horizontal position for a different view, you have that option. more

CIPA Dual-View Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're gonna be taking a look at the CIPA Dual View Towing Mirror, part number 11953 and they also come in a pair of two with part number 11953-2.And as you can see here, I'm visible on our factory mirror but as I step towards the outside, I'm no longer visible on our factory mirror, but I can be seen on our universal towing mirrors.This is especially useful when merging onto the highway, changing lanes and during parking maneuvers. Both of the dual view mirrors are fully adjustable, both vertically and horizontally. And while it's installed, you can still adjust your factory mirror.One of the mirrors is flat which is gonna give you a more true distance reading of what's behind you and the other one's convexed for a wider area of view. You remember that convexed mirrors may have objects that are closer than they appear.And the breakaway function will still operate and it won't contact the vehicle. It's held securely to your mirror using the rubber straps and this rubber will prevent any scratches or abrasions on the back side of your mirror.The straps will go on each side of your puddle lamp so it'll still be fully functional. And what I really like about this mirror is how easy it is to install. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we're going to be taking a look at the K Source dual lens towing mirrors, part number KS3990.So, as you can see here I'm back by the trailer and I can be seen clearly in our factory mirror. But as I step out to the left, I'm no longer visible in the factory mirror, but you can still see me in both of our towing mirrors. This is especially useful when making merges on the highway, lane changes, or during parking maneuvers.Each of the dual mirrors is adjustable, both vertically and horizontally. We can still adjust our factory mirror while it's installed. With the mirror installed, the break away function is still available, and doesn't contact the body. The rubber pads on each strap hold the mirror in place, and also prevent any scratches or abrasions on the back side. more

The rubber will prevent any scratches or abrasions and are fully adjustable for various size mirrors, and if adjusted properly the straps won't cover up your puddle lamp, so it'll still be fully functional. more
